The People, Our Story, and a Whole Lot of Mailboxes

Architectural Mailboxes logo: black arch emblem with decorative fleur-de-lis motif and the brand name in thin, tall lettering.Your mailbox works hard. It gets rained on, baked in the sun, and stuffed full of packages, and it still has to look good doing it. That’s where we come in. Architectural Mailboxes® was founded in 2000 with one goal: build mailboxes that are as tough as they are beautiful. In 2020 we joined the Solar Group, Inc. family, home of Gibraltar Mailboxes®, a brand with decades of mailbox know-how. Now we’re one team under the Architectural Mailboxes® name, offering the widest variety of mailboxes and accessories you’ll find anywhere. Two brands, one obsession: making the best mailbox on the block.

Founded in 1957 as a hardware manufacturer, Solar Group, Inc. evolved over the decades into a company built around one thing: exceptional mailboxes. Gibraltar Industries, headquartered in Buffalo, New York, acquired the company in 1998. Then in 2020, Solar Group and Architectural Mailboxes came together as one, and every mailbox we make now carries the Architectural Mailboxes name. From our headquarters and manufacturing facility in Taylorsville, Mississippi, a team with an average tenure of more than 20 years designs and builds locking mailboxes, wall mount mailboxes, and post mount mailboxes that homeowners can count on for years.
